Position Summary
As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales within a defined territory by building relationships with local businesses, understanding their hiring needs, and presenting Express solutions. This role is focused on business-to-business sales and requires both prospecting for new clients and maintaining relationships with an existing book of business.
You will play a critical role in helping companies understand how Express can provide value in employment, leadership, and human resource solutions.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and relationship-building.
· Conduct in-person visits to local businesses, presenting Express products and services as workforce solutions.
· Manage and grow an assigned book of business, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
· Develop customized staffing and workforce solutions to meet client needs.
· Partner with the recruiting team to ensure alignment of candidate placements with client requirements.
· Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
· Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activity using CRM tools.
· Represent Express Employment Professionals with professionalism in the local business community.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Proven prior sales experience required (business-to-business preferred).
· Staffing industry experience strongly preferred (recruiting and/or sales).
· Competitive, self-motivated, and goal-driven with a 'go-getter' mentality.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.
· Energetic, positive, and professional with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
· High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required (outside sales role).
