🔨 About the Role:
Forging Associate – 1st Shift Join a dynamic manufacturing team in Akron, Ohio as a Forging Associate. This position involves operating forging equipment, handling hot metal components, and ensuring production quality and safety standards are consistently met. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced industrial setting.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:

Operate forging presses, hammers, and other heavy machinery to shape metal components

Load and unload raw materials and forged parts from equipment
-
Inspect forged parts for defects and ensure they meet production specifications
-
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of forging equipment
-
Monitor temperature and pressure settings to maintain optimal forging conditions
-
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and heat protection
-
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

Maintain a clean and organized work area
-
Document production and maintenance activities accurately
🧰 Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent work experience

Previous experience in forging, foundry, or heavy industrial manufacturing preferred

Ability to work in high-temperature environments and perform physically demanding tasks

Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial tools

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
