Job Title: Purchasing Specialist 

📍 Location: Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 

🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday

💵 Pay: $23.00-25.00 per hour based one experience 

Job Overview:

Express Employment Professionals of Akron is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist for a local manufacturing client. This role plays a key part in managing procurement, coordinating inventory movement, and supporting both warehouse and office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchasing & Procurement:

  • Manage the procurement of raw materials and supplies for manufacturing and office needs

  • Ensure timely, cost-effective purchasing and maintain strong vendor relationships

• Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock

  • Conduct weekly cycle counts and reconcile inventory

  • Coordinate inventory movement between manufacturing processes

• Operational Support:

  • Assist with forklift operations if certified or willing to train

  • Support customer service and maintain organized workspaces

  • Help maintain cleanliness in both warehouse and office areas

• Physical & Workflow Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

  • Stand for up to 6 hours and sit for up to 6 hours depending on task

• Additional Duties:

  • Flexibility to take on new projects and support evolving business needs

Qualifications:

• Experience in purchasing and inventory management

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with inventory systems

• Forklift experience helpful but not required (certification available)

• Team-oriented with adaptability to dynamic workflows

Work Environment:

This position blends office and warehouse responsibilities, requiring physical activity such as lifting and extended standing periods.
