CNC Operator – Express Pros–Akron
Location: Akron, OH
Schedule: Full-Time- 1st Shift
About the Role
Express Pros–Akron is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to produce precision-machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery. This role supports consistent quality, safety standards, and efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Operate programmed CNC machinery to load/unload materials and produce parts to design specifications
- Monitor machine feed and speed throughout the machining process
- Inspect items and report any quality concerns to management
- Inspect parts according to blueprints and quality guidelines
- Apply basic algebra and geometry concepts when required
- Monitor and maintain lubrication and coolant levels
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide your own basic hand tools and measuring tools
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Competencies
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong job responsibility and consistency
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Eagerness to learn various part setups and machine operations
- Reliable and regular attendance
Physical Requirements
This position regularly requires:
- Standing, walking, reaching, and using hands to handle or feel parts
- Occasional sitting
- Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Clear close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Work Environment
While performing this role, the employee will be:
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Working in a loud production environment
