Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Associate
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our grass seed production and distribution team. This role is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, stacking and wrapping pallets, and ensuring accurate and timely shipment and receipt of products. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks with grass seed products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor as required
Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
Verify quantities against bills of lading and packing slips
Stack, organize, and wrap pallets securely for shipment
Prepare outgoing shipments according to company and customer specifications
Label, tag, and document materials accurately
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed
Communicate effectively with warehouse team members and supervisors
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs regularly
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic math and documentation skills
Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and standing
Ability to work in varying temperatures (warehouse environment)
Repetitive movement and manual handling of materials
