Dish Room Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dish Room Laborer to join our team. This position is responsible for cleaning returned dishware and rental items, inspecting items for damage, organizing and stacking inventory, and assisting with counting and inventory tracking. This role is important in ensuring customers receive clean, well-maintained, and accurate rental orders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, and other rental items using industrial dishwashing equipment and hand washing when necessary.
- Inspect items for cleanliness, damage, excessive wear, or missing pieces.
- Stack and organize clean dishware and rental items according to company standards.
- Count and verify returned items and outgoing orders.
- Assist with inventory tracking and report shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Perform other general dish room and warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work on your feet throughout the shift.
- Ability to bend, lift, carry, and move bins or stacks of dishware weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and motions throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic counting and record-keeping skills.
- Prior dishwashing, warehouse, or inventory experience is a plus but not required.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and repetitive motions. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced dish room environment and handling dishware and other rental items throughout the day.
