Job Title: Summer Agricultural WorkerEmployment Type: Seasonal (Summer)
Position Summary:We are seeking hardworking and reliable individuals to join our team as Summer Agricultural Workers. This position supports the agricultural and horticultural needs of the Parks Department and the City. Team members will help maintain healthy, attractive landscapes and green spaces through a variety of hands-on outdoor tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with planting, watering, and general care of flowers, plants, trees, and landscaped areas
Perform routine maintenance tasks including weeding, mowing, trimming, and edging
Monitor plant health and assist with pest and weed management
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of parks, medians, and other city properties
Operate basic landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively
Assist with irrigation tasks and seasonal landscaping projects
Support other departments or projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Willingness to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high-quality landscapes
Basic knowledge of plant care or landscaping is preferred but not required
Valid driver’s license is a plus (if applicable to duties)
Work Schedule & Hours:
Seasonal summer position
Hours may vary based on operational needs
May include weekday and occasional weekend work
