Shipping/Warehouse Worker
Location: Harrisburg, OR
Pay: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Full-time
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and organized Shipping/Warehouse Worker to assist with daily warehouse and shipping operations. This position is responsible for accurately picking, packing, weighing, labeling, staging, and shipping products while maintaining accurate inventory and paperwork. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well with a team, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure shipments are completed accurately, on time, and delivered to the correct location in good condition.
- Pick products from shelves and ensure pick lists are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Pack products securely and neatly for shipment.
- Seal pallets, weigh products, and apply appropriate shipping labels.
- Verify shipping paperwork, orders, invoices, and other documents for accuracy.
- Ensure the appropriate shipping methods are used based on order requirements.
- Move completed shipments to designated staging areas.
- Track and supply jobs and orders as needed.
- Assist with maintaining accurate warehouse and inventory records.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, and order issues to the supervisor or lead.
- Assist with receiving, transferring, picking, shipping, and inventorying stock.
- Communicate and collaborate with leads and supervisors to meet department goals and deadlines.
- Assist with training new team members and maintaining warehouse standards.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for improving warehouse processes and systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Provide professional and helpful customer service when needed.
- Perform other warehouse and shipping duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or material-handling experience preferred.
- Ability to accurately read and follow orders, pick lists, invoices, and shipping documents.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse systems.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle products and materials.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions.
- Previous inventory or shipping experience is a plus.
