General Laborer
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to assist with shop cleanup and general facility maintenance in a steel fabrication environment. This position plays an important role in keeping the shop clean, organized, and safe for daily operations. Candidates should be comfortable working in an industrial setting and completing physical tasks throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform general shop cleanup and housekeeping duties
- Sweep, shovel, and remove scrap materials and debris
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with moving materials and equipment throughout the shop
- Empty trash and recycling containers as needed
- Support fabrication staff with basic labor tasks
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and policies
- Operate basic hand tools and cleaning equipment
Qualifications
- Previous general labor or industrial experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working in a steel fabrication or warehouse environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or with a team
- Steel-toe boots required
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time position
- Indoor shop environment with exposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipment
- Overtime may be available depending on production needs
