Fish Marker – Temporary PositionPay: $19/hourLocation: Sweet Home, ORSchedule: Day & Swing Shift Available
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fish Marker at a local fish hatchery in Sweet Home. This temporary position is responsible for accurately marking and tracking fish for identification purposes while maintaining detailed records. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and a willingness to work in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform fish marking procedures according to established protocols and guidelines
Apply tags, marks, or identification methods to fish for tracking and research purposes
Accurately record fish information, including species, size, weight, and other required data
Maintain organized records and documentation of marked fish
Handle fish carefully while following animal welfare and safety standards
Maintain and clean marking equipment and report any issues to supervisors
Work collaboratively with hatchery staff and team members to meet daily goals
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Comfortable working in a fish hatchery environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on work
Reliable attendance and a positive attitude
Previous hatchery, fisheries, agricultural, or production experience is a plus but not required
Schedule:Temporary position with day and swing shifts available.
