Staff Accountant Location: Lebanon, ORSalary: $63,000 – $78,000 annually Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team in Lebanon, Oregon. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and contributing to accurate financial reporting and process improvement. The Staff Accountant will support financial reporting requirements, perform general ledger reconciliations, track capital expenditures, and assist with project accounting activities. This position also plays an important role in audit preparation and maintaining strong financial documentation and controls. Key Responsibilities Compile, organize, and maintain financial data to support periodic government reporting requirements. Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for various general ledger accounts. Track and record capital purchases while ensuring compliance with capitalization policies. Assist with project accounting, including cost tracking and budget vs. actual analysis. Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation and responding to information requests. Perform financial data entry, analysis, and validation to ensure accuracy of records. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data. Maintain documentation for accounting procedures, policies, and internal controls. Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the accounting function. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldOR A combination of education and 5+ years of relevant staff accounting experience Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and organizational skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with financial systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional discretion Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in a collaborative environment Reporting & Collaboration Reports to the Manufacturing Controller No direct reports Regular interaction with employees across multiple departments and organizational levels, as well as external auditors and regulatory agencies. Work Environment Role includes work in both office and production environments. Occasional travel to other U.S. production facilities may be required. Position may require standing, use of hands, and occasional movement of objects up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
