Job Title: Ballfield Maintenance WorkerEmployment Type: Seasonal / Variable Hours
Position Summary:We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Ballfield Maintenance Worker to support the preparation and upkeep of softball fields and other sports facilities. This role is essential to ensuring safe, high-quality playing conditions throughout the season. The ideal candidate is flexible, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare softball fields and other sports fields for use prior to the summer season
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of ballfields and surrounding facilities
Drag, line, and maintain infields and warning tracks
Monitor field conditions and complete necessary repairs or adjustments
Maintain cleanliness and general appearance of sports complexes
Operate a pickup truck with a small trailer and field maintenance equipment
Assist with set-up and take-down for games, practices, and events as needed
Identify and report maintenance issues or safety concerns
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to safely operate a pickup truck and trailer
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality field conditions
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
Flexible schedule, including availability for weekdays and weekends
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and working in outdoor conditions
Work Schedule & Hours:
Variable hours based on operational needs
Up to 40 hours per week if desired
Work schedule may include both weekdays and weekends
Employees will receive at least two days off per week
Work Environment:
Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Physically active role requiring standing, walking, and equipment operation
