Forklift Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator with crating and packaging experience to join our Machine Division. This role involves operating forklifts, packaging products, and building crates for safe shipping and storage. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts to move materials, products, and crates safely and efficiently.
Package and prepare products for shipment or storage.
Build and assemble crates to meet client specifications and ensure product protection.
Inspect crates and packaging materials for quality and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use and storage of PPE.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in crating, packaging, or material handling.
Ability to lift and move materials as required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work full day shifts during training (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
Training & Safety Orientation:
On the first day, the associate will receive client-specific Safety Training/Orientation, including:
Facility tour and overview of essential locations (exits, emergency action plans/maps, MSDS locations).
Proper use, storage, and maintenance of PPE.
Identification of potential risks and instruction on minimizing/responding to hazards.
Guidance on appropriate work practices for production and safety compliance.
Emergency contacts and reporting procedures.
