Now Hiring: Finishing Machine Operator – 2nd Shift
Location: Gresham, OR
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Finishing Machine Operator for 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 10:00 pm). This role is responsible for setting up and operating finishing machines to produce high-quality folding cartons, ensuring all production meets company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
- Set up, adjust, and run jobs to meet productivity and quality standards
- Produce the required quantity of parts within specifications and tolerances
- Inspect and measure finished parts for quality compliance
- Maintain accurate production logs and error records
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and adjustments
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Lead and oversee operator assistants, feeders, packers, and inspectors
Pay Rate: $23.17/HR
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of related experience and/or training
- Ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and debug machinery
- Strong problem-solving skills and basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to interpret designs and production documentation
- Attention to detail, including color matching
- Cooperative attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills
Schedule & Physical Requirements:
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm (may train on day shift first)
- Must be able to work overtime and occasionally alternate schedules
- Standing and walking 34–66% of the time; lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stair climbing, and hand coordination
- PPE required: safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection
