Warehouse Material Handler
Portland, OR
Our client company is currently seeking a reliable Warehouse Material Handler. This role involves moving, loading, and unloading materials within the plant and in/out of vehicles using a forklift. The Material Handler will also pull products for shipment, pack them into boxes, and use banding and shrink wrap machines. Use of computers and electronic devices is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to move, stage, and load products within the warehouse.
- Receive, verify, and store incoming products accurately.
- Pull and assemble orders for shipment according to schedules and requirements.
- Pack products securely using boxes, banding, and shrink wrap equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Use computers or handheld devices to track inventory and workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications
- Experienced forklift driver (3–5 years preferred).
- Able to operate computers and electronic devices for inventory and workflow tracking.
- Punctual, dependable, and committed to regular attendance.
- Self-motivated, positive, and cooperative team player.
- Strong ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and make decisions within company guidelines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven warehouse environment.
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Three to five years of forklift operation experience required.
