Job Description:
As a Carpenter in the property restoration industry, you will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled carpentry tasks to restore residential and commercial properties to their original or improved condition. This role requires expertise in carpentry, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of carpentry work, including framing, installation of doors, windows, cabinetry, trim, and other finishing work.
- Assess and plan carpentry projects by reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with other restoration professionals, including project managers, electricians, plumbers, and painters, to ensure seamless project completion.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of structural components damaged by water, fire, or other disasters.
- Ensure all work meets building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in the property restoration or construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools common to the carpentry trade.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
