Our company is on the lookout for a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Mattress Disassembly Technician/General Laborer. This role is all about manually breaking down discarded mattresses and box springs for recycling purposes, helping us contribute to a greener planet! ??

Day shift: 7 :30am - 4:00pm or 9:30am-6:00pm
Pay: $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble Mattresses: Break down mattresses and box springs outdoors, separating materials like foam, fabric, and springs.
- Tool Mastery: Utilize knives, scissors, and other hand tools for cutting and separating materials.
- Organize & Sort: Sort and organize dismantled components according to recycling guidelines.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep your work area clean and organized, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
- Safety First: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of sharp tools.
- Team Support: Assist with other tasks related to mattress recycling and waste management as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Weather Warrior: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions is a must.
- Strength & Endurance: Physical strength and endurance to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using hand tools like knives, scissors, and other cutting tools.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Team Player: Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Safety Commitment: Dedication to safety and adherence to safety procedures.
- Reliable Attendance: Take pride in your attendance and punctuality.
Physical Demands:
- On Your Feet: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (your whole 8-hour shift).
- Flexibility: Ability to bend, reach, stretch, kneel, and stoop (your whole 8-hour shift).
- Heavy Lifting: Ability to lift anywhere from 20-60 pounds repeatedly.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with varying temperatures (your whole 8-hour shift).
