Our client, a leading industrial supply company in SE Portland, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate for a temp-to-perm opportunity.  

 

We are looking for a competent and professional Accounts Receivable Clerk/Receptionist to make collections calls, answer & direct calls, greet & direct customers & vendors and help with the daily administrative operations of our company. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure, while prioritizing customer service. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail while assisting with and independently performing a variety of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts collection calls to customer with past due balances
  • Performs clerical duties, including, but not limited to, answering calls, mailing and filing correspondence
  • Responding to all customer inquiries in a polite and timely manner
  • Interacts with clients, visitors, and vendors
  • Photocopies, scans, and files appropriate documents (invoices, packing slips, pick tickets, and statements)
  • Maintains accurate records using GL accounts and enters data into our systems
  • Enters, reviews, and edits invoice & transaction reports for accuracy
  • Maintains financial database records and journal entries in a log
  • Assists in setting up new vendor accounts
  • Process/void manual checks and do bi-weekly check runs
  • Conducts research and compiles data when solving issues with vendors and other branches
  • Signs for delivered packages and distributes them to the appropriate recipient
  • Interacts with different departments to solve any issues with orders and freight
  • Assist A/R with deposits, invoicing and collections
  • Performs additional duties when required
