Maintenance Facilities Technician
NE Portland
$25-28/hour, commensurate with experience
Shift: Swing Shift M-F
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general and detailed maintenance, including patching, painting, hardware repairs, and other repair/replacement work as required. This position requires performing routine facility and equipment maintenance, as well as maintaining various equipment systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general and detailed maintenance with either direct or indirect supervision.
- Perform routine facility and equipment maintenance tasks.
- Maintain equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid handling systems.
- Accurately record project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance procedures for all equipment and processes.
- Maintain cleanliness of the maintenance equipment area.
- Ensure appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies.
- Establish and maintain communication with appropriate equipment vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent experience with a stable work history.
- Prior production equipment maintenance experience, preferably in a food and beverage environment.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to understand blueprints, diagrams, and ladder logic programs.
- Experience with software interface tools for Allen Bradley or GE PLCs and Windows-based software preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand, power, shop, and diagnostic tools.
- Skills in electrical power/controls, mechanical, and fluid handling systems.
- Trade or Technical school certification preferred.
- Forklift experiencepreferred.
