Are you a skilled and passionate sewer with a flair for craftsmanship? We are looking for a candidate to join a dynamic and growing team, at premier manufacturer here in East Portland. This is your chance to work with a team that has over 30 years of manufacturing experience, in a comfortable and family run business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial sewing machines and other equipment to assemble and sew varsity jackets according to specified patterns and instructions.
- Ensure the highest level of precision and quality in stitching, seams, and finishing details to meet our strict manufacturing standards.
- Perform tasks such as cutting fabric, attaching zippers, inserting linings, and adding embellishments with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflow, timely completion of orders, and adherence to production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and maintaining equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience with industrial sewing.
- Must be able to work long periods on your feet.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds.
