The Role
We are looking for a community-minded Customer Service Representative to be the face and voice of our organization. You’ll be the primary point of contact for our community of readers and writers, ensuring they have a seamless experience whether they are attending a sold-out lecture or renewing their annual subscription.
This role balances high-energy event support with focused administrative work. You will play a key part in our membership renewal periods and day-to-day operations, helping our members stay connected to the literary community.
Key Responsibilities
- Event & Box Office Support: Provide top-tier service at ticketed events and lecture series; manage "front of house" duties and handle on-site ticketing/troubleshooting.
- Subscription Management: Support the seasonal membership renewal process by processing renewals and answering subscriber inquiries.
- Digital Navigation: Comfortable moving between web-based platforms to look up member info, update records, and manage digital ticketing.
- Routine Desk Work: Maintain organized records and handle daily administrative tasks to keep our operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service, box office, or front-of-house roles is highly preferred.
- Tech Savvy: You are comfortable navigating web-based tools. Salesforce experience is a major plus!
- Communication: Warm, patient, and clear communication style—both in person and via email.
