Job Full Description
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Rental Yard Associate to join our construction supply team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, working outdoors, and supporting rental operations. The Rental Yard Associate is responsible for servicing and maintaining rental equipment and preparing rental orders for customer delivery or pickup.
This position requires regular operation of a company vehicle or personal vehicle for more than 20% of the average work week. An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required. If selected, an MVR report will be run.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove dirt, concrete, and debris from rental equipment
- Ensure all rental equipment is clean, safe, and in good working condition before customer use
- Oil and lubricate tools, equipment, and tilt-up braces according to specifications
- Prepare, stage, and organize rental orders for delivery
- Inspect equipment upon return from customers and report any damage following established procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rental yard and equipment areas
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely
- Perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Required Skills
- Forklift experience
- Will-call and warehouse experience
- Experience as a yard worker, rental equipment associate, or warehouse worker
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Dependable with strong attendance
- Comfortable working outside
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR
