IT Support Technician (Project-Based)
Location: Portland Metro Area

We are seeking a reliable and tech-savvy IT Support Technician for a short-term project supporting a local business with computer upgrades, optimization, and QuickBooks migration assistance. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and helping users improve system performance.
Responsibilities Include:

Upgrade computers from Windows 10 to Windows 11

Optimize and clean up existing computers to improve speed and performance

Transfer and configure QuickBooks on newer computers

Coordinate with QuickBooks support regarding license transfers if needed

Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues

Assist with data transfer, setup, and configuration of workstations

Ensure systems are functioning properly after upgrades and installations
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience in IT support, desktop support, or computer technician roles

Experience with Windows operating systems and computer upgrades

Familiarity with QuickBooks installation and migration processes preferred

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong communication and customer service skills
Equipment & Systems Used:
Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, QuickBooks software, desktop and laptop computers, computer peripherals, external storage devices, Microsoft Office applications, diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
