Welder (TIG/MIG)
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE
Location: East Portland, OR
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Welder Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our production team in East Portland. This is a hands-on production welding role focused on meeting quality standards and production goals. The ideal candidate will have experience with both TIG and MIG welding, the ability to read blueprints, and a strong commitment to safety and craftsmanship.
Please Note: Candidates will be required to complete an in-position aluminum TIG welding test during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on aluminum and other materials as required
- Fabricate, assemble, and weld components according to production requirements
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
- Grind, finish, and prepare welded products as needed
- Measure materials and verify dimensions before and after fabrication
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and related tools
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and quality standards
- Meet production schedules and output expectations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven TIG and MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong measurement, fabrication, and layout skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Experience operating and maintaining welding equipment
- Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Understanding of production manufacturing environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods throughout the shift
- Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials as required
- Ability to work safely around welding equipment and fabrication machinery
