Job Title: Automotive Prep/Paint/Body Technician
Location: NE Portland, OR
Schedule: Monday – Friday Day Shift
Pay: Competitive DOE (Dependent on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Prep/Paint/Body Technician with at least 5 years of experience to join a growing team in NE Portland. This position is ideal for a skilled professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and can perform automotive body preparation, refinishing, and painting with minimal supervision.
Compensation is flexible based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles and components for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and priming.
- Perform body repair and panel preparation as needed.
- Mix and match paint colors to specifications.
- Apply paint and finishes using industry-standard techniques and equipment.
- Inspect completed work to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of automotive prep, paint, and/or body repair experience.
- Strong knowledge of automotive refinishing processes and materials.
- Experience with color matching, paint mixing, and paint application.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Professional attitude and dependable work ethic.
