Machinist - Conshohocken - $20.00 - $30.00/ hour (DOE)
We are looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to join our fabrication team. This role involves operating manual machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to produce and modify metal parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional machining techniques and a keen eye for detail.
Job highlights:
- Set up and operate manual machines including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and drill presses.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure accuracy.
- Perform layout, marking, and cutting of raw materials.
- Deburr, polish, and finish machined parts as required.
- Maintain and troubleshoot manual machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with fabricators and welders to support custom builds and repairs.
- Schedule: M-F 7am - 4pm
What we look for:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience operating manual machine tools in a fabrication or job shop environment.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and tolerances.
- Ability to work from blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments.
- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
