Responsibilities of the Machinist:
- interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand job requirements
- Set up and adjust CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and conventional machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills
- Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to achieve accurate and precise dimensions
- Perform precision machining tasks to fabricate metal and plastic parts according to specifications
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and quality output
- Inspect finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and make any required adjustments
- Maintain and clean machines regularly to ensure their longevity and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet production schedules
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies to create a secure work environment
Qualifications of the Machinist:
- Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role with hands-on experience in operating CNC and conventional machinery
- Proficient in reading technical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of CNC programming and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and precision measurement instruments
- Excellent mathematical skills and the ability to make complex calculations
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and precision
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery for extended periods
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus
