Production Associate
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Production Associate to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on shop experience who enjoys working with tools, materials, and production equipment. The right candidate will be comfortable working in a fabrication environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Measure materials and perform pattern cutting
- Complete sheet metal fabrication tasks including:
- Shearing
- Punching
- Bending
- Grinding
- Chop saw operation
- Soldering
- Band saw operation
- Perform plastic membrane work including cutting, forming, and welding
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed
- Operate hand tools such as grinders, drills, skill saws, and other small tools
- Monitor equipment, gauges, and indicators to ensure proper machine operation
- Perform quality checks and physical inspections of finished products
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Communicate production updates and issues verbally and in writing
- Use basic computer systems for production-related tasks
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Previous shop labor, fabrication, or light industrial production experience preferred
- Ability to understand raw materials, production processes, and quality standards
- Comfortable standing, walking, sitting, and working with hands for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license required
- Forklift certification preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience
- Manufacturing or fabrication background
- Experience using hand tools and production equipment
- Knowledge of quality control processes
- Experience with forklift operation
