Tax Accountant

$65K-90K based on experience
Newly created position to support company growth
What to Expect:
- Realistic and attainable performance bonuses
- Supportive and collaborative environment at a well-established, locally owned full-service accounting firm
- Busy Season: 45-55 hours/week (no mandatory Saturdays)
- Off-season: 35-40 hours/week
- Half-day Friday (May-December)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients to optimize their tax positions.
- Conduct research on various tax issues and stay updated on tax law changes.
- Assist clients with IRS audits and inquiries, ensuring compliance and resolution.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tax accounting or tax consulting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance.
- Familiarity with UltraTax, Accounting CS, QuickBooks Online/Desktop
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
