Laundry Attendant
$15-$16/hr
Conway, SC
We are hiring several year-round Laundry Attendants for a facility in Conway. In this role, you will perform all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading, ironing, folding, and storing.
Duties
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results
- Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens and towels
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including sinks, machines, and storage spaces, adhering to safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when restocking is necessary
- Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation with verifiable work history
- Ability to follow direction, and work autonomously with detail and precision
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and dry-cleaning processes
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and effectively
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety standards in hospitality settings
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or holidays as needed
