Jon and Becky Rolen

Owners

Jon and Becky Rolen are the owners of the Murfreesboro Express office that was established in March 2006. Their fervent passion of helping others achieve career goals and stability is what fuels the business. Jon is a Louisiana native but has been a resident of Murfreesboro since 1965, while Becky was born and raised in middle Tennessee. The pair met in high school and married in 1980. Jon attended both Middle Tennessee State University and University of Tennessee, obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1979. That same year, Becky received a bachelor's and master's equivalency in speech pathology, where she would work with Murfreesboro city schools as a teacher until her retirement in 2013. After his graduation, Jon would further his career as owner / operator at both Sonic Drive-Ins and Snap-On Tools. He has been a member of the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce for 10 years.

The couple celebrates their business for its success and impact in the community. The Murfreesboro office has been honored as a Circle of Excellence office for the last 5 years and was praised with the Neighborhood Marketing Award. Jon and Becky sought to establish a premier staffing service where people could be treated equally and fairly; they are pleased to say that goal has been met. Express Employment of Murfreesboro prides itself on their quality associates, excellent clientele, and dedicated internal team.

Matthew Couture

Owner / Director Of Operations

Matthew Couture is a seasoned staffing industry professional with over 22 years of experience in the field. Originally from Manhattan, he began his career in hospitality and retail, where he developed strong customer service and operations management skills. With a degree in Information Systems Management, Matthew seamlessly transitioned into the staffing industry, leveraging a unique blend of technical expertise and industry knowledge to drive successful staffing solutions for clients and candidates alike.

Throughout his career, Matthew has worked with a range of companies, from startups to established enterprises, helping to build high-performing teams, optimize workforce strategies, and implement technology-driven solutions. With a deep understanding of both business operations and information systems, he has played a key role in streamlining recruitment processes, improving operational efficiency, and supporting long-term growth for staffing organizations. In addition to his staffing industry expertise, Matthew is passionate about using technology to solve complex problems and improve business outcomes. He is committed to continuous professional development, staying ahead of industry trends, and delivering exceptional service to clients and candidates.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys horror films, paranormal research and going on vacation with his wife and two daughters. Whether exploring new cities, connecting with peers, or staying engaged with emerging tech trends, he is always looking for new ways to grow personally and professionally.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Problem solving and building relationships

What is one professional accomplishment you're proud of?
Hitting top 50 as a business developer and having the opportunity to coach others toward that goal.

What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?
I volunteer as a worship leader at our church, Believers Chapel in Murfreesboro. I am a wife and mother, 1 14 year old son - Liam and 2 dachshunds Madeline and Maxwell. I also love gardening and baking

I was once in a movie with Robert Deniro, my role was the impactful role of "girl with champaign glass".

What is your primary role or area of expertise?
Business Development for Williamson and Maury County. 

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy partnering with businesses to understand their workforce challenges and aligning them with strategic staffing solutions. Building strong, consultative relationships and identifying talent gaps allows me to support companies in strengthening their operations, improving productivity, and achieving long‑term growth. 

What is one professional accomplishment you're proud of?
I'm proud of cultivating relationships that are genuinely strategic rather than trasactional. I take the time to understand each client's goals, workforce priorities, and operational needs so I can guide them toward the most effective staffing solutions. Earning a company's trust and being relied on to deliver high-quality candidates who help drive their success is one of the most meaningful parts of my work. 

What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?
Traveling, cooking new recipes, and spending evenings on the patio with my husband and our baby Golden Retriever, Huck.

Everyone in my family is left‑handed.

As a Senior Employment Specialist and Client Care representative, I specialize in recruiting top talent, building strong client relationships, and connecting qualified candidates with opportunities that align with their skills and career goals.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is helping people find meaningful employment while partnering with local businesses to build strong, dependable teams. Making a positive impact on both job seekers and clients is what motivates me every day.

What is one professional accomplishment you're proud of?
I am proud of building lasting relationships with clients and candidates by providing exceptional service and consistently helping businesses meet their staffing needs with quality talent.

What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, attending community events and fairs, and exploring new technology and design tools like Canva.

Share one fun fact about yourself.
Before joining Express, I spent 23 years in the casino and hospitality industry in Las Vegas, where I developed a strong foundation in customer service, leadership, relationship building, and problem-solving. Working in such a fast-paced, people-focused environment taught me how to connect with individuals from all walks of life and deliver exceptional experience, skills that continue to serve me well in the staffing

Growing wide range of colorful and fruiting plants and exploring new local food places

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Meeting new people, building meaningful relationships, and helping others find the right fit for their careers.

What is one professional accomplishment you're proud of?
After 18 years in the medical field, I took a bold leap into staffing and recruiting. Stepping outside my comfort zone was both exciting and challenging, but it has become the best career decision I've ever made. It's allowed me to grow personally and professionally while doing work that I genuinely enjoy. 

What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?
You’ll often find me out on the lake or hitting the open road with my husband on our Harley-Davidson Road Glide. I love a good adventure and making memories along the way!
