Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled HP Indigo 6800 Press Operator to join a production team. The successful candidate will operate the HP Indigo 6800 digital press to produce high-quality printed labels and ensure efficient, consistent, and timely production. This role requires an eye for detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain the press.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HP Indigo 6800 Press: Set up and operate the HP Indigo 6800 digital press, including loading materials, setting up print jobs, and ensuring optimal press performance.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor print quality, perform color matching, and verify output against specifications to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning, calibrating, and replenishing ink, while promptly troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise.
- Job Setup and File Management: Interpret and set up digital files according to job specifications and ensure accurate job setup within the Indigo press software.
- Production Efficiency: Work efficiently to meet production targets, minimize waste, and adhere to all safety and operational protocols.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and address any production issues.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating an HP Indigo digital press, preferably the 6800 model, or similar digital printing equipment.
- Knowledge of digital print processes, color theory, and experience with file setup and RIP software.
- Strong quality control skills with a keen eye for color accuracy and print quality.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and make adjustments as needed.
- Strong verbal communication and team collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with color management software and GMI standards.
- Knowledge of routine press maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
