Summary
Express Employment is looking for Emergency vehicle installers. Emergency vehicle equipment installers must have the technological and electrical skills to repair and maintain the specialized equipment found in police, public safety and emergency vehicles. Individuals must be able to perform physically demanding tasks that may require accessing confined spaces. Installation of emergency vehicles (i.e. lightbars, sirens, speakers, consoles, laptop mounts, push bumpers, LED lighting, prisoner cages, gun racks, and other equipment). Work inside and outside vehicles in shop environment. Occasional local travel for equipment pickups, deliveries, and onsite installations. Frequent lifting of heavy objects
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform vehicle Outfitting/Up-fitting services on the following: Turnkey emergency vehicles, Patrol vehicles and motorcycles, Fire and ambulance vehicles, Utility, security and transport vehicles, other vehicles as assigned.
- Installation and removal of all equipment to include but not limited to: In-car camera systems, Storage boxes and sliders.
- Perform Vehicle repairs, retrofitting and upgrading.
- Maintain an orderly and clean working environment, keeping the installers work area organized
- Complete all required paperwork (service orders, work logs, timecards, etc.).
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Ensure all Installations meet safety standards and client specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Ability to communicate well with others
- Ability to work on and see small objects
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
- Knowledge of 12V wiring preferred.
- Able to identify electrical circuits.
- Experience with installation of emergency lighting preferred.
- Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification preferred.
- Valid DL
