Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Laundry Attendant to join a local team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers to launder linens and garments efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for delicate fabrics and special items.
- Inspect items for stains or damages and take appropriate action to address issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and work surfaces.
- Ensure proper inventory levels of laundry supplies are maintained and report any shortages.
- Adhere to safety protocols while handling chemicals and operating equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in laundry services is required.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required.
- Must be able to work night shifts.
