Safety Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and promote a safe working environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience managing inspectors and safety personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team of safety inspectors
- Schedule, train, and monitor inspectors to ensure safety standards are consistently followed
- Conduct and coordinate workplace safety inspections
- Identify potential hazards and develop corrective action plans
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety regulations
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs
- Communicate safety expectations to employees, supervisors, and management
- Monitor inspection results and follow up on corrective actions
- Provide leadership and guidance to inspectors and field personnel
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Safety Manager or similar safety leadership role
- Experience managing inspectors or inspection personnel required
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient with computers and standard office software
- Safety certifications are a plus
