Job Full Description
JOB PURPOSE
The Production Supervisor will supervise and lead an assigned team through the daily activities on the production floor to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist with training of team members.
· Oversee the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the assigned team.
· Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
· Monitor cycle times of the operators.
· Ensure that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments.
· Lead team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklift trucks.
· Inspect quality and quantity of parts produced.
· Verification of finished skids in meeting company quality standards, ensuring that it has the appropriate labels, and operator initials.
· Keep team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
· Maintain detailed and accurate work records.
· Collaborate with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implement viable ideas.
· Resolve conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees.
· Assist the material handler where or if needed.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
· Report daily attendance.
· Prepare daily shift reports and send, via email, to the appropriate personnel.
· Supply training records needed while ensuring that they are filled out appropriately, verify that the operator can run the required process independently, and turn in to production manager.
· Work weekends whenever assigned shift is working.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to motivate the team to accomplish objectives.
· Ability to solve conflicts among coworkers.
· Ability to remain organized.
· Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse.
· Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
· At least two years of related work experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Willing to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment i.e. hot in the summers and cold during winter periods.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
