LOGISTICS ANALYST
Dallas TX
We are looking to fill the position of Logistics Specialist. This position will manage and improve the client delivery process to meet client satisfaction requirements. Coordinate the delivery of finished goods to clients, coordinate and provide tracking for inbound international shipments and manage shipment exceptions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day Provider Relationships
- Assists in driving improvements for client shipments focusing on service, vendor performance, efficiency improvements and cost savings
- Maintain KPI metrics and daily relationships with logistics providers. Generate logistics reports, analyzing key performance metrics and offering valuable insights to drive process improvements.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommended corrective action plans to resolve process issues or exploit opportunities
- Modify process flows and action steps based on internal guidelines and external processes to improve the process, resolve issues, and meet changing customer requirements
- Responsible for handling all shipment exceptions, ensuring timely resolutions and minimizing disruptions to our client deliveries.
- Manage vendor relationships, optimizing partnerships, and negotiating competitive pricing for transportation services.
Coordinate Customer Deliveries
- Oversees daily internal and external communication for quoting, dispatching, status updates, documentation needs, service changes, or to report and resolve exceptions
- Manage international Return merchandise authorizations in compliance with import regulations
- Coordinating White Glove Deliveries: Organizing and coordinating all white glove deliveries once dispatched to the provider.
Coordinate Importation of Goods
- Coordinate the transportation of finished goods to Perennials
- Provide daily tracking updates to internal stakeholders
- Update order information in Work-Relay(Salesforce) and Navision(ERP)
Other Logistics related tasks as needed
- Provide assistance and support to team members in the completion of daily-required tasks within the department
- Process Improvements: Implement improvement projects for logistics processes, aiming to minimize exceptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Supply Chain, Logistics, Bachelor's degree supply chain or other business area or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years customer service experience required
- 1-2 years logistics experience preferred
- Knowledge of all modes of transportation including 3PL dedicated fleet, parcel, LTL, TL, and freight forwarding preferred
- Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively contribute to a team environment
- Able to direct multiple projects and anticipate challenges
- Strong problem-solving skills, a faculty for numerical detail and the ability to manage complexity
- Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required for reporting and analysis
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
- Possesses focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure
