Job Full Description
The Service Department is actively seeking skilled Service & Repair Technicians to join our team. This role is hourly, with 40 hours guaranteed. Overtime and weekends available when necessary.
Service Technician performs maintenance and repairs to hydraulic hoses, cylinders, winches, lighting and various components of a Towing & Recovery Vehicle. From diagnosing to installation and inspection of the wrecker, the Service Technician will perform the necessary services needed to get our customers’ unit back on the road safely and efficiently.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must be self-driven, analytical and possess the ability to think critically to solve problems.
•Perform functions safely and efficiently
• Lift 50 – 75 lbs. repeatedly
• Stand on concrete for 8 – 10 hrs.
• Climb ladders
• Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, grab, twist
• Crawl under and around trucks
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Must be able to work in cooperation with other areas
• Must be detail oriented and quality focused
• Needs to be flexible, learn and do other jobs when necessary and as assigned
• Proper care and use of hand and power tools employed
• Must possess general understanding of hydraulics & 12- & 24-volt DC electrical systems
• General mechanical knowledge (engine mechanical background not necessary)
• Welding is a plus • CDL is a plus
Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
