Job Full Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting activities, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger entries.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Lead and support the monthly financial close process.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Maintain and reconcile inventory transactions within Sage ERP.
- Monitor inventory adjustments, transfers, and manufacturing transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Coordinate with the external CPA by providing financial information and supporting documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, and Warehouse to maintain accurate inventory records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- Experience performing complete month-end financial close.
- Experience with inventory accounting and inventory reconciliations.
- Manufacturing accounting experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with Sage ERP
- Strong knowledge of:
- General Ledger
- Journal Entries
- Financial Reporting
- Inventory Accounting
- Account Reconciliations
- Fixed Assets
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF functions).
- Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
