Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Squeeze Truck Operator / Bale Press Operator to join a growing team in Lubbock, TX. This role is responsible for operating a squeeze truck and bale press to tie, weigh, and transport linter bales while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate bale press equipment to press and tie bales
- Dress bales in linter cloth and ensure proper handling
- Maintain accurate daily records of bale counts and weights
- Move and stack bales using a forklift or squeeze clamp truck
- Assist other bale press operators as needed
- Perform routine maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, minor repairs)
- Report mechanical issues and safety hazards promptly
- Clean overhead structures by removing dust and lint
- Maintain a clean work area (sweeping, shoveling, debris removal)
Squeeze Truck / Forklift Duties
- Safely operate squeeze truck to load, transport, and unload materials
- Handle delicate loads such as bales or large rolls without damage
- Conduct daily equipment inspections (fluids, hydraulics, safety checks)
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and procedures
- Assist with general warehouse operations, including inventory and shipping
Qualifications & Skills
- Forklift certification required (squeeze clamp experience preferred)
- Strong precision and control in equipment operation
- High attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks
- Dependable and team-oriented
