Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Some Saturdays depending on season)
Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and hardworking Awning & Solar Screen Installer / Assembler to join a growing team in Lubbock, TX. This position involves installing and assembling solar screens, patio shades, and window coverings while providing quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install custom-fit solar screens that reduce heat by 10–15 degrees and block up to 90% of UV rays
- Install motorized and manual patio shades for patios, pergolas, and outdoor spaces
- Measure windows and materials accurately using a tape measure
- Assemble and install window coverings and related products
- Safely use hand and power tools
- Climb ladders and perform heavy lifting as needed
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve during installations
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Basic tool experience required
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience in assembly, construction, or production work preferred
- Ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR required)
- High school diploma or GED
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, and climbing
