Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals in Lubbock, TX is seeking a skilled Mechanical Pump Assembler/Technician to join a growing team. This position is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial pumps, fabrication, and assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Assemble, test, and repair various types of mechanical pumps including centrifugal, diaphragm, and gear pumps

Perform pump rebuilds, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance

Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately

Complete mechanical assemblies and subassemblies using hand and power tools
-
Install seals and ensure proper alignment of components
-
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
-
Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
-
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:

Previous experience in mechanical assembly, pump repair, or related field

Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals

Experience with fabrication and assembly processes preferred

Familiarity with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)

Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus

Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus)
