Position Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join a busy healthcare team in Lubbock. Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and procedures
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration)
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with minor procedures
- Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records
- Manage billing and insurance information
- Accurately code and document patient information
- Educate patients on medications and self-care instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment
Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to accurately document and code patient information
- Experience taking vital signs and assisting with patient care
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
