Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Front End Loader Operator to join our team at a cattle feed yard in Lockney, Texas. This position plays a key role in daily feed yard operations by operating a front-end loader to move feed ingredients, load mixers, maintain feed storage areas, and assist with general yard maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a front-end loader to move feed commodities and other materials
- Load feed trucks and mixing equipment according to feeding schedules
- Maintain feed storage areas and commodity sheds
- Assist with feed mill and yard operations as needed
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow all company safety procedures and feed yard protocols
- Assist with general facility maintenance and cleanup projects
Qualifications
- Previous front-end loader, skid steer, or heavy equipment experience preferred
- Agricultural, feed yard, farming, construction, or related experience is a plus
- Ability to safely operate equipment in various weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
- Valid driver's license preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb in and out of equipment multiple times per day
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and dusty conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work around livestock and agricultural equipment
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- Weekend and overtime hours may be required during busy periods
