PLC Technician
Location: Plainview, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Opportunity
We're seeking an Electronics Technician / PLC Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Plainview. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining PLC-controlled equipment, electrical systems, and automated production equipment to keep operations running efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and blueprints
- Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs
- Install, modify, and test PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and control panels
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and identify root causes
- Complete preventive maintenance on production equipment
- Assist with equipment upgrades, automation improvements, and new installations
- Follow OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, and company safety procedures
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve reliability and efficiency
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Technical certificate or degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Electrical Technology, Automation, or a related field
- Experience with PLCs, industrial electrical systems, or maintenance troubleshooting
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Will Train:
- Mechanically inclined individuals with electronics, electrical, automotive electrical, mechatronics, or similar technical backgrounds who are eager to learn PLCs and industrial automation
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work around industrial equipment
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
