Specialized Recruiting Group in Midland, TX is searching for an experienced Control Room Operator for a Leading Oil/Gas Company in Barnhart, TX.

This is a direct hire opportunity and pay is $35-$55/hour depending on experience. 

Job Summary:
The Control Room Operator position will support the overall monitoring of maintenance of the field operations to ensure that everything is working properly, and prioritized items are handled in a timely fashion. This position will look closely to identify any abnormal operating and equipment conditions.

 Key Responsibilities:

·         Central point of contact for all field operations, especially in emergency situations

·         Continuously monitors horizontal and vertical facilities to help Lease Operators pump by exception

·         Monitors the operation of emissions control equipment and adjusts it to meet State and Federal Guidelines

·         Monitors alarms and oil call-ins

·         Order trucks for water dispatch and coordinate with water haulers to ensure water is hauled in a timely manner

·         When abnormalities are detected, troubleshoot, or repair the issue to minimize safety risks and economic losses by delegating to/informing Production Department personnel

·         Utilizes SCADA to drive maintenance and efficiency

·         Utilizes Automation to monitor SWD and water transfer activity 

Education and Experience:

·         Minimum 3 years of Lease Operating experience; both vertical and horizontal wells

·         Previous Control Room Operating experience preferred

·         College preferred 

Skills and Knowledge:

         Must possess the knowledge and skillset to operate various Production equipment; ability to troubleshoot all equipment

         Ability to identify opportunities for production optimization in both vertical and horizontal assets

         Ability to operate various switches, control devices, and valves, and knowledge of the effects each has on total operations

         Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

         Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must

         Strong aptitude in math; ability to use addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to perform flow, pressure, performance, and meter calculations

         Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

         Work well under pressure

         Possess problem-solving skills

         Experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Production Accounting software, SCADA, Camera systems etc.

         Basic knowledge of Production, Completion and Workover

         Knowledge of Rod Pump, Plunger, ESP and Gas Lift Systems
