Position Overview
The HSE Manager plays a critical role in protecting the well-being of employees, preventing accidents and environmental incidents, and supporting sustainable business practices. This role involves strategic oversight of health, safety, and environmental programs while promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and enforce safety and environmental policies, procedures, and programs.

Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.

Lead and manage emergency response procedures, including drills and training exercises.

Conduct safety and environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

Investigate accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Foster a strong culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all departments.

Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on HSE best practices.

Collect, analyze, and report on HSE performance metrics; present findings to leadership and regulatory agencies.

Oversee contractor and supplier compliance with HSE standards and review safety plans for on-site work.

Drive sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and environmental impact improvement.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.

Stay current on emerging HSE trends, technologies, and regulatory updates.

Supervise and mentor HSE personnel, manage departmental resources, and oversee the HSE budget.

Collaborate with all levels of leadership to align safety strategies with company goals.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

5–7 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environmental management role (required).

In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations.

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to implement proactive safety programs and drive cultural change within an organization.
