Location: Houston, TX (Local candidates only)
Pay: $60,000–$70,000 DOE + commission
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday; nights, weekends, and on-call as needed
We are seeking an experienced Freight Broker Dispatcher for a direct-hire, long-term opportunity in Houston, TX. Key Responsibilities

Dispatch carriers and drivers for assigned loads, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery

Track shipments in transit and proactively resolve delays or issues

Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, carriers, brokers, and customers

Negotiate rates with carriers as needed, within approved margins

Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and operational policies

Manage all load documentation, including rate confirmations, BOLs, and PODs
-
Update Transportation Management Systems (TMS) with real-time information

Resolve service issues, claims, or discrepancies efficiently

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with carriers and brokers

Support freight brokers with capacity sourcing and operational coordination

Maintain scheduled hours and provide on-call coverage when needed
