Location: Hobbs, NM
Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Class A Winch Truck Operator for a great opportunity in Hobbs, NM. The ideal candidate will have strong oilfield experience, excellent safety awareness, and the ability to safely operate a winch truck while transporting and positioning heavy oilfield equipment.
JOB DUTIES:
- Safely operate a winch truck to transport oilfield equipment, tubular-related equipment, materials, and other heavy loads.
- Operate the truck’s winch system to safely load, unload, pull, and position equipment.
- Properly secure equipment and loads using chains, binders, straps, and other approved securement methods.
- Transport equipment between facilities, customer locations, yards, and oilfield locations throughout West Texas and Southeast New Mexico.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, winches, cables, chains, and other equipment.
- Ensure trucks and loads remain compliant with DOT and company safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, mileage records, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, customers, and field personnel regarding deliveries, pickups, and equipment placement.
- Safely maneuver trucks in oilfield locations, including tight, uneven, and challenging work areas.
- Assist with loading, unloading, rigging, and other field or yard duties as needed.
- Identify vehicle or equipment maintenance issues and immediately report unsafe conditions.
- Maintain assigned truck and equipment in a clean, safe, and professional operating condition.
- Follow all company safety policies and customer-specific safety requirements.
- Represent the company professionally while working at customer locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Previous winch truck and oilfield experience strongly preferred.
- Experience transporting and securing heavy equipment and tubular-related materials.
- Strong knowledge of safe load securement practices.
- Ability to work safely in oilfield environments and maneuver equipment in tight areas.
- Must have a strong commitment to safety and DOT compliance.
- Reliable attendance, professional communication, and a strong work ethic required.
