Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking Shop Technicians for an opportunity in Midland, TX. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and preparing wellhead equipment and components for field operations and customer needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect, clean, assemble, disassemble, repair, and maintain wellhead equipment and components.
- Prepare equipment for field operations and customer requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on equipment.
- Inspect parts and components for wear, damage, or defects.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and other shop equipment.
- Assist with pressure testing and equipment testing as trained and authorized.
- Follow work orders, procedures, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
- Load, unload, move, and stage equipment and materials.
- Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, repairs, and completed work.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Assist with inventory and parts organization as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Immediately report damaged equipment, safety concerns, or quality issues.
- Work closely with supervisors, field technicians, and other shop personnel.
- Perform additional shop duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous oilfield, wellhead, mechanical, or shop experience is a plus.
